To paint on the metal products such as window grill, window frames, gates etc, not only protects them from rusting but gives the metal surface a long lasting beauty.

Flower Synthetic Enamel 1100 Series is a durable high gloss alkyd enamel designed for topcoating internal/external iron, steel, galvanized iron and wood surfaces. It is UV resistant with excellent colour retention property and resistant to yellowing.

Application Procedures:

1. Rust Removal
Remove rust on the surface by hand scraping, power wire brushing or discing.

2. Grease Removal
After removing the rust, rub off the grease and dirt by using a cloth dipped with Giraffe Mineral Turpentine #424.

3. Primer
Surface should be primed with appropriate primer in order to enhance the protective power of the system.

To maximize the performance of the paint system, it is recommended to apply Flower Synthetic Undercoat, White #101 after priming.

4. Reduction Ratio
Reduce 10 parts of FLOWER Synthetic Enamel paint with 1 part of GIRAFFE Mineral Turpentine #424.

5. Topcoat
After the primer and undercoat is thoroughly dry, sand down with sand paper to enhance the adhesion of topcoat. Remove the dust and contaminant and then apply 2 coats of Flower Synthetic Enamel 1100 Series. In general, the recoating time is 8 hours.

6. Coverage
12 – 16 m2 / 2 coats / litre.
