Brushing Lacquer Application Procedure:

1. Patching
Fill up minor cracks, hole and irregularities with Flower Patching Paste #901. Sand down with sand paper and dust off.

2. Undercoat
Giraffe Primer Surfacer #964 (Grey) or Giraffe Primer Surfacer #966 (White) can be applied as undercoat.

3. Reduction Ratio
Reduce 2 parts of paint with 1 part of Giraffe Lacquer Standard Thinner #303.

4. Topcoat
Apply your favourite colour of Giraffe Brushing Lacquer 2300 Series. In general, 2 coats are needed and the recoating lead time is 30 minutes.

5. Coverage
12 – 16 m2 / 2 coats / litre

Clear Furniture Lacquer Application Procedure:

1. Surface Preparation
Sand down wood surface with sand paper to remove dirt, contaminant and rough surface.

2. Undercoat
Apply Giraffe Wood Sealer #311 as undercoat.

3. Reduction Ratio
Reduce 1 part of clear lacquer with 1 part of Giraffe Lacquer Standard Thinner #303.

4. Topcoat
Giraffe Wood Lacquer can be applied after the undercoat is thoroughly dry.

5. Coverage
#322 – 10m2 / litre / 2-3 coats
#422 – 10m2 / litre / 2-3 coats
#423 – 12.5m2 / litre / 2-3 coats

6. Rubbing
The aim of rubbing is to remove brush marks. Firstly, dilute the paint with thinner until it becomes watery. Then wrap some cotton with a piece of soft cloth and dip into the diluted paint. Use the wet cloth to rub on the paint surface until all the marks disappear.
