Some people may think that painting decoration is a troublesome and difficult task. But if you know how to select the right paint and the proper working procedures, painting will be fun and interesting.
Painting Procedures:
1. Surface Preparation
Surface should be thoroughly cleaned of dirt and contaminant. Ensure the surface is dry before coating. Otherwise, it might inhibit adhesion and durability of the finish.
2. Previously Painted Surface
(i) Mould Surface
Apply Flower Mould Removal Solution #413 (One part of #413 with one part of water) onto the affected surface, then rinse with clean water.
(ii) Flaky Paint Surface
Remove peeling and flaking paint by wire brushing or scraping. Or simply apply Giraffe Standard Retarder #414 onto the wall surface, the old paint can be scraped off easily when the surface is still wet.
(iii) Cracking/Irregular Surface
Apply Flower Patching Paste #901 for patching and filling of minor cracks, holes and irregularities. After thoroughly dry, sand down with fine sand paper to give satisfactory smoothness.

It is supplied in a ready mix form and is very convenient to use. Suitable for filling cracks, holes and irregularities of masonry, plaster and wood with excellent workability and durability.
3. Appropriate Sealer
After cleaning and patching up the wall surface, Flower Masonry Sealer #973 should be applied. Its outstanding water and alkali resistance properties provide a strong adhering foundation for most paint systems.
